I would like to take this opportunity to thank all members who voted and supported me to be elected and become a member of our Unions Local Government Service Group Executive representing the Yorkshire and Humberside Region. The elections happen every two years and I was thrilled to be elected to the Service Group for the first time. The Service Group agrees strategies for implementing Conference policy and ensures Conference decisions are implemented. As a rep I am a link for the Service Group between members and activists from our Region. I report both ways to the Service Group from our Region telling them what is happening and back again.
