Leeds Black History Walk

13 July 2024

We have again secured funding to do the Leeds Black History Walk in conjunction with Leeds Heritage Corner on Saturday 13 July at 2pm.  This is their 15th year anniversary and we welcome the opportunity to participate in the walk again with the theme of their ‘Carnival Special’ which focuses on the history behind Emancipation in the West Indies and local connections historically.

The walk is open to all members and is free to attend.

Lunch will be provided beforehand at 12pm at our regional office – Quayside House, Canal Wharf, Leeds, LS11 5PS (near the train station).  Alternatively you can join us at the meeting point instead.

The meeting point is at University of Leeds, the steps at Parkinson Building, Woodhouse Lane.  The History walk will start at 2pm and last 2 hours and promises to be interactive.
