COVID-19 Advice and Resources

These pages were last updated on 24 January at 18.50

England is now under a ‘Stay at Home’ national lockdown. If your job can be done from home, you must work from home.
We are receiving an unprecedented number of telephone calls and emails. Given the huge implications for our members, their family and friends, we have created these pages as a ‘one stop’ point for information about COVID-19. We will update this page, and the links below, regularly so please keep checking back.

In accordance with the current ‘Stay at Home’ lockdown, you must now stay at home, and only leave home for specific permitted reasons:

  • shop for basic necessities for you, your household or a vulnerable person
  • go to work, but only if you cannot do your job from home
  • exercise on your own, or with your household, or with your support bubble, or one other person – but only once a day and only within your local area
  • meet your support bubble or your childcare bubble, but only when necessary and only if you are lawfully allowed to join a bubble
  • seek medical assistance, to avoid injury risk or harm, or to escape domestic abuse
  • attend education or childcare (but only those children permitted to do so such as vulnerable or key worker children.

Our branch office is closed to visitors. We are observing government guidance regarding the lockdown in England. Most of our staff and officers will be working from home. We are still taking telephone calls and responding to emails but we would prefer you to contact us using our online contact form if you can. Please also check these pages first to see if we have already answered your question(s).
