The government has announced an extra bank holiday in 2022. Moving the late spring bank holiday will mean a long weekend with Thursday 2 and Friday 3 June becoming bank holidays.
Ballot papers have gone out this week to all our members who work in local government, schools and the National Parks, following confirmation of the final offer in respect of the 2020/21 pay claim.
Hundreds of our members have volunteered to be deployed to different roles, or work different hours to support the Covid-19 response. We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with NYCC to reassure members that these new arrangements are temporary.
