The joint UNISON local government branches have formally responded to the proposals to move council staff to the new council, raising a number of concerns and objections.

UNISON members working for North Yorkshire County Council have voted overwhelmingly to accept improved terms and conditions which will help to improve recruitment and retention.

UNISON is calling on the eight North Yorkshire councils to work together on a joint approach to vacancies between now and when the councils merge in April 2023.
