Labour Link Election 2019

Wendy Nichols - Speaking at NDC

Our union is a democratic, member-led trade union. As a member you are regularly asked to participate in our internal elections. Ballot papers are being sent out for elections to the Labour Link National Committee, delegates are elected by each region and in our region this branch is supporting Wendy Nichols.

Our branch has nominated Wendy Nichols for the UNISON Labour Link National Committee because she’s the candidate with a record of standing up for public services at every level of our union and the Labour Party.

A local councillor and UNISON Regional Convenor, Wendy represents UNISON on Labour’s NEC, and currently serves as Chair – which reflects her support from across the Labour Party.

Yorkshire and Humberside needs someone to stand up for us in the Labour Party and represent our views on UNISON’s National Labour Link Committee. We’re backing Wendy because we know she’ll always put UNISON members first.

Ballot papers will be sent out from 7 August 2019 and must be returned no later than 5pm on Friday 13 September 2019.

Only full and retired members who pay the Labour Link fund are eligible to vote. If you do not receive your ballot paper by 13 August please call the ballot helpline on 0800 0 857 857.

Please use your vote, make your voice heard.
