Help us build UNISONS Regional Low Paid Women’s Network (RLPWN)

As you may know, the coming year will be UNISON’s Year of the Low Paid Woman. This is a significant opportunity to ensure that the voices of low-paid women are heard, their experiences shape our work, and they become more active and engaged within our union.

To support this, we are launching the Regional Low Paid Women’s Network, and I am asking for your help to make it a success.

We want to encourage our low-paid women members to join the network and take part in one of our inaugural online meetings

The first meetings will take place on:

  • Tuesday 11 August, 12:30–13:30
  • Thursday 13 August, 16:00–17:00

These meetings are an opportunity for members to help shape the network from the outset. Together we’ll discuss:

  • The purpose and vision of the Regional Low Paid Women’s Network.
  • Why many low-paid women members do not currently get involved in UNISON.
  • What would make it easier for them to engage with the union.
  • The training, information and support they would find most valuable.
  • The priorities and themes for future meetings and campaigning.

Members who would like to attend can register by emailing h.alexander@unison.co.uk.

Thank you for your support in helping us build a strong, representative, and influential Regional Low Paid Women’s Network. By working together, we can ensure that low-paid women have a stronger voice within UNISON and that their priorities are at the heart of our work during the Year of the Low Paid Woman and beyond.

Kind regards,

Natalie Ratcliffe
