2023 Pay Offer Confirmed for Council and School Workers

The national employers have responded to our pay claim for local government and school workers.

Our claim for 2023 was for an increase of 12.5% on all pay points (which is the current rate of RPI plus 2%).

The response from the employers is a “full and final” offer as follows:

An increase of £1,925 (full time) on all pay points from SCP2 to SCP43 (about £1 an hour)

An increase of 3.88% on all NJC allowances

A review of school support staff job profiles

Cleary this offer is well below the claim we submitted. Our NJC committee is meeting on Friday 3 March to consider next steps. You can be assured that your views will be sought as part of the next steps.

In respect of Chief Officers, the employers have responded with a “full and final” offer of a 3.5% increase on all pay points.
